Steve Foley
Denver Broncos Ring of Fame Member and Businessman
Steve Foley is a former professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played his entire 11-year NFL career (1976–1986) with the Denver Broncos. Before joining the Broncos, he spent one year with the World Football League’s Jacksonville franchise. It was there that Steve had his greatest experience when he became a follower of Jesus Christ.
As a member of the Orange Crush Defense, Foley played in the Super Bowl twice: Super Bowl XII against the Dallas Cowboys and Super Bowl XXI (his final game) against the New York Giants.
Foley’s 44 career interceptions remain a Denver Broncos franchise record. Steve Foley was added to the Broncos Ring of Fame in 2024. He has been elected to the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2026.
Foley, one of 13 children, began his career as a quarterback, playing high school football at Jesuit High School of New Orleans and collegiately at Tulane University, before successfully converting to defensive back. He was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Class in 2002.
Since retiring from football, Steve has remained engaged in commercial real estate and land development as well as community service in Denver. He has served on the board of the Denver Street School for over 20 years.
Steve has been married to Cindy for 46 years and together they are parents to David and Natalie and grandparents to 8 grandchildren.Where & When?
